"Paid a £777 deposit for drainage work scheduled for 21 April 2026. The engineer did not attend and no work was carried out. I cancelled the agreement the same day within the 14-day cooling-off period, in line with the contract. After several follow-ups, the trader responded that a refund would be made, but not in full and without any clear timeframe. Despite no work being carried out, they are attempting to retain part or all of my deposit without justification. The deposit has not been returned to date and I have started formal recovery action. Please exercise caution!!!"
