"We were looking for a partnership with a local building firm for a long time since our long term builder retired. After a negative recent experience with another builder, we were once again looking for a company to support us with our next development phase - a conservatory. We had the usual suspects pitch for a UPVC conservatory. But, just could not get excited about them. All so samey. We found Horton Oak Builders and spoke with Sandie who schedule Barrie to come and see us. From the outset, Sandie and Barrie could not have been more helpful or supportive and were full of good ideas. Essentially all that you could hope for in a construction firm. With the build underway we met other members of the team and found out that this is a family firm. All were friendly, supportive and respectful. It was a pleasure to have them here and exciting to watch the conservatory take shape. The finished product is even better than we expected. The quality of their work is second to none and so much more unique and special than a UPVC conservatory. We found out that Horton Oak Builders do a lot more than oak buildings such as general building and groundwork. If only we found them before! Seriously, if you are considering a building project, call them. I wish we did a few years ago."

"We asked Horton Oak Builders to do a number of jobs including : removing old windows and replacing with double glazed sash windows requiring the building of new pillars. Flooring work where old floor boards needed replacing due to wood worm. Checking joist for damp and damage. Old lathe and plaster ceiling repairs. Removing and replacing front door with all new frame work. Blocking off a door way and new skirting boards to match existing. We discussed a bespoke dog crate book case also which Barry agreed to help us with. The quote was very competitive, and they remained within budget throughout. Communication was fantastic and friendly. No job was too small or too big. They were tidy and worked from 8 til 4 most days. Barry built the most beautiful bookcase which was just what we were looking for. Barry, Callum, Jack and Sandie are a brilliant team who we would highly recommend."
